No Annual Membership Dues! Sigma Pi is one of only two National fraternities in North America that does not have annual membership dues. Sigma Pi chapters have their own local dues and budget, which they set per man in the chapter. At the national level, none of our members have to pay dues back to the headquarters on top of that. No other fraternity at Cal Poly can compete with that! You pay your local dues and that’s it. Sigma Pi members get the most for their dollar and in turn have the best collegiate experience.
-
The 4-year National cost of SIGMA PI is $525.00 vs. the National Average of $557.13. As an undergraduate, as a Sigma Pi you will pay only two one-time fees to the National Headquarters. This is standard for each fraternity and sorority, but at Sigma Pi, you get the best deal. There is a $150 pledge fee once rush is done and then a $375 initiation fee prior to initiation into Sigma Pi.
-
Membership Materials included in $525.00 cost. Sigma Pi Fraternity does not make you pay extra for your membership materials unlike many fraternities on campus. At time of pledging you receive your New Member Manual, your Study Guide for Academic Success and your Pledge Pin. Then at initiation, members receive their Wallet ID card w/National Number, Membership Certificate, their Initiation Badge w/National Number and then a lifetime subscription to the Emerald, the fraternity’s official magazine.
-
No Renewals for our Magazine, the Emerald. Some fraternities make you pay extra and renew your magazine subscription for their fraternity, either yearly or every so often. At Sigma Pi you get a lifetime subscription to our magazine once you are initiated. Never worry about staying connected with your brothers or fellow alumni. Sigma Pi is brotherhood!

ACE Project. Sigma Pi is the only fraternity that has a national philanthropy/service event giving back to Cal Poly. The ACE Project (Altruistic Campus Experience) is truly a unique program that no other fraternity or sorority throughout North America currently has. Every one of our chapters performs a project designed to give back to their host campus. Last spring, Zeta-Mu Chapter made "finals week survival guides" and distributed them to students on campus. At Sigma Pi, we take pride in our University!
-
A Study Guide for Academic Success. Sigma Pi is the only fraternity that provides this to each registered pledge. Academics is one of our top priorities, after all you are at Cal Poly for your education. Provided by our Educational Foundation, this guide includes study techniques, test taking strategies and all of our scholarships available to undergraduates.
-
Scholarships. The Sigma Pi Educational Foundation gives away leadership and academic scholarships every year. Often to be eligible, most fraternities mandate that you are already initiated to receive them. At Sigma Pi we offer scholarships to even our newest pledges right away. We want you to be successful in school. See our scholarship link for more information!
-
Free Mid-Year Leadership Conference. Sigma Pi Fraternity is the only fraternity that offers a completely free conference to our officers. Free hotel rooms, free materials, free meals, and even free travel money for attending. NO registration fee for officers attending like many fraternities on campus charge. Sigma Pi officers are better trained as a result!
