The Eta Delta Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International was formed in 1987 on Cal Poly campus. On May 21, 1988 it received its official charter. The Eta Delta Chapter was present at Cal Poly for 12 strong years when it died out in 1999. On March 3rd, 2006 the chapter was recolonized and after two years of hard work the colony received their charter on May 31th, 2008.
Now entering the 2016-2017 academic year with 65 members prior to Fall and Winter rush, the Eta-Delta Chapter of Sigma Pi is ready for what’s next. With our signature Suicide Awareness Week seeing huge success in its first year in 2016, winning Greek Week for the first time, and additionally winning various campus-wide and national awards, Eta-Delta is ready to see what history it will make next! While we are medium in size, we are established in our livelihood, character, and accomplishments, and thus a valuable asset to the Interfraternal Council, Cal Poly, and San Luis Obispo communities.
